The tire’s all-season compound is shaped into an asymmetric tread pattern crafted to reduce road noise and deliver a quiet driving experience. Large outer tread blocks enhance grip and cornering in dry conditions, while a continuous solid center rib ensures a stable, on-center feel and improved straight-line performance during braking and acceleration. Four wide circumferential grooves, combined with lateral notches and open shoulder slots, efficiently channel water away to boost wet traction and resist hydroplaning. Nitto's 3D Multiwave sipe technology allows the sipes in the tread blocks to interlock for added stability while also providing extra biting edges for traction on slick surfaces. Additionally, the siping, along with independent tread blocks in the shoulders and transverse notches in the central tread, delivers effective light snow performance.
The Motivo’s internal structure includes two wide steel belts supported by a two-ply polyester casing, with a single nylon reinforcement layer to strengthen the tread and enhance durability at high speeds.
