The NT01's advanced race compound and asymmetric tread design are optimized to provide consistent grip, resist heat buildup, and withstand repeated heat cycles. This setup ensures outstanding dry handling, with a wide contact patch and continuous tread blocks that enhance acceleration, cornering, and braking.
With a starting tread depth of 6/32", the NT01 includes two circumferential grooves and angled lateral grooves for improved traction in wet conditions. For maximum dry performance, shaving the tread reduces depth and increases surface contact. By 4/32" depth, the lateral grooves fade, leaving just the two central grooves at 3/32" for optimal track grip.
Beneath the surface, the NT01 features a 2-ply high-modulus rayon casing with a high turn-up design to enhance stability during aggressive driving. Reinforced with two wide steel belts and a nylon cap ply, the internal construction ensures durability and reliability at high speeds.
